How can I make my house smell nice naturally?

Wax melts with essential oils

You’ll need silicone molds, a slow cooker, and a slow cooker liner. Once you add a plastic liner to your cooker, set the heat to low and add two cups of soy wax pellets. When melted, add ½ teaspoon of vetiver essential oil, one teaspoon of lavender essential oil, and ¾ teaspoon of cedarwood essential oil.

Mix thoroughly, then carefully remove the liner and set it inside a measuring cup, making sure to fold the excess liner over the cup’s edge. Sprinkle some dried lavender into the silicone mold and pour the mixture. Leave it at room temperature to cool and solidify. Once you remove them from the mold, your wax melts are ready to use in a wax warmer.

Lemon basil spray

If you love the scent of basil and lemon, it’s a perfect blend to freshen up your rooms. First, you need to boil ¾ cup of water and pour it into a liquid measuring cup. Then, add four tablespoons of dried basil, letting it steep for several minutes. Next, you’ll need a spray bottle, and a funnel lined with a coffee filter. Carefully pour the mixture through the filter, removing the herbs.

Once your solution is in the bottle, add ¾ cup of distilled water, five drops of lemon essential oil, and one tablespoon of rubbing alcohol. Close the bottle, shake well, and your odor eliminator is ready to go.

Linen spray

If you want to freshen your fabric-covered furniture, clothes, bedding, and towels, this linen spray is the way to go. Mix one tablespoon of rubbing alcohol and 35 drops of your favorite essential oil (you can also combine different scents if you like) into a spray bottle, and fill the rest of it with distilled water. Close the bottle, shake well, and spray your linens as needed to keep them fresh.

Carpet deodorizer

Mix ½ cup of cornstarch and 1 cup of baking soda in a bowl, and add five drops of an essential oil you love. Stir well to combine and pour the mixture into a mason jar using a funnel. Next, use a hammer and nail to create small holes in the lid and attach it to the jar. Use this mixture to lightly sprinkle onto your carpets, leaving it to sit for at least half an hour before vacuuming.
